Why would the people of West Texas take such extremes to make their football team succeed? why is it more important to them than education, transportation and the oil industry?

  1. The people of West Texas would go to extremes to make their football team succeed because sports bring people, diverity, and the whole school together and I think that in this book that is the one thing that people enjoyed most.
